- Central Laboratory is a centralized diagnostic department of the hospital.

- Central Laboratory carries through the hematology, chemical, immunological, immunchemical, haemostaseological, urine diagnostic examinations of the residents of Ózd and its agglomeration (67 895 person), also stores and monitors the hemoculture cultural samples.
- Forwards examination samples to Corden Ltd. and ÁNTSZ (NPHMOS) that carries through official investigations, collaborates with external laboratories..
- Receives the requests of the in-patient departments.
- Prime working hours: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Shift: 24 hours a day (2×12 hours)
Examination schedule: urgent examinations 24 hours a day
Outpatient–consultation: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. Monday – Friday
Country area: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m., on given days – sample delivery
